The conservative management of a large hepatic subcapsular hematoma in a pregnant woman with preeclampsia: A case report

Hepatic subcapsular hematoma is a rare but potentially life-threatening complication that caused by preeclampsia and hemolysis, elevated liver enzymes, low platelet (HELLP) syndrome, which may be manifest with nonspecific signs symptoms. The present case was 36-year-old woman secondary as of HELLP syndrome. patient complained nausea, vomiting, pain in the right upper quadrant abdomen, epigastric pain, severe shoulder. On fourth day after delivery, computed tomography (CT) scan performed on patient, showing large around liver. Six weeks follow-up ultrasound exhibited no residual or free peritoneal fluid, patient’s blood pressure controlled without taking medication.
